Asia's oldest football league is here
The Calcutta Football League began in 1898, and the IFA calls it the oldest football league in Asia. Its Premier Division runs through the monsoon: in 2025 the group stage was played from late June to early September, with the Super Six after it. The Kolkata derby between Mohun Bagan and East Bengal was first played in 1921, and a derby at Salt Lake Stadium in 1997 drew a record 131,000.
We do not make those clubs' shirts and we do not copy professional crests. We make your club's own kit. If your club has an old crest it is proud of, send us a photo of the crest, even an old printed one, and the designer redraws it cleanly for the mockup.
Para football and puja club tournaments
The Kolkata Police Friendship Cup is an annual tournament for local clubs that more than 500 clubs have played in, under the slogan "para football at its best". Durga Puja clubs also hold their own knockouts, such as the Behala Cup for puja clubs in 2025. A typical neighbourhood club order is a set of 14 to 18 jerseys with a big back number, the club name on the chest and a local sponsor.

Shorts in the same order count towards the tier, so a full kit can cost less per piece than jerseys alone.
Monsoon football needs the right shirt
Kolkata's mean daily maximum is about 35 °C in April and May, and the monsoon brings about 370 mm in each of July and August, with afternoon humidity of 82 to 83% from July to September. The CFL and most club football are played in exactly those months. A shirt that soaks up water gets heavy within a half, so we recommend Classic Dotknit 160, which stays light, and a sublimated print that cannot lift when wet.
Ordering for Durga Puja
If your club wants shirts for a puja tournament, or matching tees for the pandal team, work back from the date. The mockup takes a day, making and dispatch about 4 days, and courier delivery to Kolkata usually 5 to 6 days. That is about two weeks from first message to delivery, so start three weeks before you need them.
