Where does the logo go on a jersey?
The team crest goes on the left chest, over the heart, about 3 to 4 inches wide. The main sponsor goes across the center of the chest. Smaller sponsors go on the sleeves, the back below the number or the back of the neck.
Standard placements
| Element | Placement | Typical size |
|---|---|---|
| Team crest | Left chest | 3 to 4 in wide |
| Main sponsor | Center chest | 8 to 10 in wide |
| Player name | Upper back | 2 to 3 in letters |
| Back number | Center back | 6 to 10 in tall |
| Front number | Chest or right chest | 4 in tall |
| Sleeve sponsor | Upper sleeve | 3 in wide |
Sizes are typical starting points; your designer adjusts them to the jersey size.
By sport
- ✓Soccer: crest left chest, sponsor center, number on the back and often on the shorts.
- ✓Basketball: large numbers front and back; team name across the chest above the front number.
- ✓Volleyball: numbers front and back; the libero's jersey must contrast with the team's.
- ✓Cricket: crest left chest, sponsor center, name and number on the back, sponsors on the sleeve.
- ✓Esports: gamertag across the back, sponsors anywhere, often many.
League rules to check
High school, college and many adult leagues have rules on number size, number colors that contrast with the jersey, and sponsor sizes. Check your league's rulebook before you approve the mockup and send it to us: your designer will follow it.
Names and numbers cost nothing extra
