How do you get sponsors for a sports team?
Start with businesses that already know your team: parents' employers, local restaurants, dentists, realtors, gyms and car dealers. Offer a simple package with a logo on the jersey, ask with a one-page sheet, and thank them publicly.
Who to ask
- ✓Team families: parents who own or work at local businesses
- ✓Neighborhood businesses near your field or gym
- ✓Businesses that serve families: dentists, orthodontists, pediatricians, tutoring centers
- ✓Local services: realtors, insurance agents, car dealers, gyms
- ✓Community businesses for cricket and cultural clubs: restaurants, grocery stores, travel agents
What to offer
| Package | What the sponsor gets |
|---|---|
| Main sponsor | Logo across the center chest of every jersey, top billing on social media |
| Sleeve sponsor | Logo on the sleeve of every jersey |
| Back sponsor | Logo on the back below the number |
| Supporter | Thank-you post and a team photo for their store |
With sublimation, every sponsor logo is part of the print at no extra cost, so a second or third sponsor doesn't add to the uniform price. See where to put sponsor logos.
How to ask
- ✓Make a one-page sponsor sheet: who the team is, how many players, where you play and what each package costs.
- ✓Ask in person where you can; email works for businesses you already know.
- ✓Show a mockup of the jersey with their logo on it. We send a free mockup within 24 hours.
- ✓Agree the logo file and deadline before you order, so the uniforms aren't delayed.
After you get a sponsor
Send a team photo in the new jerseys, tag them on social media, and send a thank-you at the end of the season. Sponsors who feel thanked are far more likely to renew.
