For away kits, the safest move is inversion: swap your body and accent colours. It keeps identity while guaranteeing clash-avoidance in most fixtures.

Love a certain North London red-with-white-sleeves look, or a sky-blue Manchester feel? Colourways aren't trademarks, clubs' crests, names and exact kit designs are.
