How do I choose a team uniform supplier?
Ask who actually makes the uniforms, whether you see a mockup before paying, what the minimum order is, which print method and fabric they use, which sizes they cover, how long delivery takes and when the clock starts, and what the full price includes. Below is each question with what we offer at Xipid, so you can compare honestly.
1. Who makes the uniforms?
Some sellers take your order and pass it to a factory, adding a margin and a step where details can get lost. A supplier with its own factory controls the fabric, printing, sewing and timeline. Ask where the uniforms are printed and sewn.
At Xipid: we design and make every uniform in our own factory in India, and send it to you by tracked courier. There is no reseller in between.
2. Do you see a mockup before you pay?
You should see the full design, front and back, with names and numbers, before paying anything. Paying first leaves you with little say if the design is wrong.
At Xipid: a free mockup within 24 hours, revised until you approve, and you pay only after approving. If the finished kit does not match the approved mockup, we reprint it free.
3. What is the minimum order?
Minimum orders push small teams to over-order and make it hard to add a late signing. Ask the minimum, and whether a top-up order later is possible.
At Xipid: no minimum order on uniforms. One replacement jersey or a whole club. Caps are the exception, with a minimum of 3 per style.
4. Which print method and fabric?
Ask whether the design is sublimated into the fabric or printed on top, and the fabric weight in GSM. Sublimation does not crack or peel; prints and vinyl on the surface can. GSM tells you how light or heavy the uniform will feel.
At Xipid: every uniform is fully sublimated. Classic fabric is 160 GSM and included, Jacquard 160 GSM adds A$10 and Signature 140 to 190 GSM adds A$20. See sublimation vs screen printing and the jersey fabrics guide, or ask us for a fabric swatch.
5. Which sizes, and can you mix them?
A club usually needs a spread of sizes, often men's, women's and kids in one order. Check the range and whether mixed sizes are allowed in one order.
At Xipid: men's, women's and kids fits, mixed freely in one order. The size guide has the charts and the size planning guide helps you collect sizes.
6. How long is delivery, and from when?
Ask when the clock starts (order, approval or payment), how the parcel travels, and whether there is a rush option. A vague answer is a warning sign before the season starts.
At Xipid: Kits are made to order in our own factory in India and arrive in around 4 weeks from design approval, sent by tracked courier. Delivery is included, with no GST or import charges to pay on delivery. Rush orders are possible on request, so tell us your first game date when you ask for a quote.
7. Is the full price in writing?
Ask for the price per piece and what it includes: design, names, numbers, sponsor logos, setup and delivery. Hidden setup or per-logo fees add up quickly across a squad.
At Xipid: ready designs start at A$50, with names, numbers, your logo and sponsors included and no setup or design fees. Netball dresses, footy jumpers and rugby league jerseys are quoted with your mockup. Every order comes with a tax invoice, and schools and companies can pay against a purchase order. See prices.
